Occasionally, I have to take a conference call with my mobile phone. I’ll go into the invitation to retrieve the dial-in number and access (pin) code. However, it’s quite cumbersome to dial the number, and then flip back to the invitation to memorize the access code for input.
To make conference calls easier for others to dial-in, in the subject line, location field or body of the invitation or email, type in the conference number, followed by a comma or two to introduce a pause, and the access code. The phone will automatically dial the number, pause, and input the access code when the link opens from a mobile phone. Make sure to test this out on your own before sending it out. Add or subtract commas as necessary.
For example: 555-555-5555,,7808340240#
It’s a simple trick that will make it easier for your meeting attendees to dial into the call.
